For ten years, the SME Berry Services has judiciously positioned itself on the textiles repair and reconditioning market: reception, quality control, ironing, and both small and large alterations. In total, nearly 6 million textile items are processed annually.
“We have implemented a system where we repair, bring back into compliance and reship deliveries, which have come from outsourced production sites and have been exposed to all the hazards that inevitably come with during transportation", sums up Jean-Claude Benéteau, director of the SME, which has 50 employees.
Today, the requirements are no less stringent, although we do see a little less damage in the containers received. Hence also the company offering complementary services such as customs clearance, quality control, labelling, export assistance, manufacturer follow-up, etc. In the same way, having worked for a long time with the mass retail sector, Berry Services is expanding its services to new customer profiles such as smaller designer brands.
According to the company’s director, the next customers he is looking to attract are in the world of online sales, which entails stepping business up a notch by providing an original reshipment service.
