Neuvy has distributed its first masks, including those manufactured by Berry Services.
Neuvy-Saint-Sépulchre-based Berry Services has never ceased its production during this lockdown, even if "it was reduced due to a lack of orders," explains the company’s director, Jean-Claude Benéteau. Specialising in alterations, bringing items into compliance and packaging for the ready-to-wear industry, Berry Services has devoted some of its activities to the manufacture of fabric masks in compliance with AFNOR standards. “We have had orders from town councils and small businesses for around 3,000 masks," says Jean-Claude Benéteau. Six seamstresses have been recruited to make them. We wanted to respond to local requests.” Moreover, aprons for medical and dental practices are also being manufactured. Neuvy has received a first delivery of masks from the Departmental Council and a supplementary batch from Berry Services has been distributed to the municipality's over 70s. Other Neuvy residents will be informed of the distribution days and times at the next delivery.
