Jean-Claude Benéteau, head of Berry Services, expressed his emotion when speaking in front of his forty employees on Friday April 1. "I'm proud to see the team reunited after we've been deprived of those moments for two years, so I really appreciate it." For this establishment specialised in bringing into compliance, finishing and packaging, logistics and storage of fashion items, the hardest part is over. “After two years of uncertainty, things are starting up again. We are in a growth phase, orders are coming in particularly for cleaning and second-hand items". Concrete and immediate translation of this optimism: the construction of a new adjoining workshop, at the same time as the facelift given to the existing buildings during the works. “In concrete terms, the total area of the premises will increase from 10,000 to 16,000 m². The construction will be accompanied by hiring, about ten in 2022.” Continuing the momentum of the good news, Jean-Claude Benéteau paid tribute to Sophie Roesslinger for her twenty years in the company. “Trained in leather goods, I have nevertheless learned a lot during all these years, she testified, and I am surrounded by good colleagues". A seven-day cruise on the Rhine and a huge flower arrangement were offered to her. Jean-Claude Benéteau invited her to keep her smile and her good mood, he also greeted new recruits in the assistance. In the new workshop, which should be operational in 2023, the director wants to bring together the second-hand sector, that is to say all the operations concerning second-hand clothes (sorting, control, photo, order preparation, storage …) which are entrusted to them before their sale on Internet sites. The market is gaining momentum and it is making the heyday of Berry Services, certainly, much more than logistics!
