A reconditioning and logistics company specialising in made-to-measure ready-to-wear.
The company's first significant contract, at the beginning of 1999, was the assembly and packaging of franc to euro converters. Since then, it has specialised in ready-to-wear reconditioning, offering services such as labelling, ironing, placing garments on hangers, alterations and repairs. Following several successful experiences, Berry Services has expanded its range of services by offering - in addition to its core business - all textile logistics services, i.e. storage, order picking and distribution.
A global service
To be in tune with the requirements of the market, Berry Services can now take delivery of containers and take care of all the steps up to delivery to the final point of sale or directly to the end customer in the case of online sales. This involves taking charge of the container with customs clearance formalities, taking delivery of the goods, picking orders and finally dispatching them to all points of sale.
Moreover, during order picking, Berry Services can carry out quality control of items and if necessary rectify in real time any errors or defects and recondition the items (alterations, ironing, etc.). “Our specialisation in ready-to-wear gives us dedicated expertise and facilitates quick response time to ensure smooth delivery to the end customer", explains Jean-Claude Benéteau, founder and director of Berry Services.
Over the years, the company has acquired the high-performance equipment required for textile processing: sewing machines, ironing equipment, etc., and has expanded its warehouse, located in the Centre region, which now has a surface area of 10,000 m². With these infrastructures, the company can now meet the needs of mass retail, mid-range speciality chains and the high-end and luxury markets. This also ensures that ready-to-wear items are processed in an environment that is dedicated exclusively to textiles and ready-to-wear goods, not mixed with other products and therefore not damaged.
As such, customers can rest assured that their own customers will receive presentable, flawless items, and they can also count on being able to put all of their stock on sale. “Customised alterations can even be made to items - when a customer orders trousers on a website, they can give their leg measurements and Berry Services will deliver the trousers in the right length with the trouser legs already altered...”
