Created in 1998 by Jean-Claude Benéteau to meet a demand for various packaging services, BERRY SERVICES has become the specialist in textile reconditioning and logistics in France. This comprehensive and integrated service makes it one of the leading industrial services and logistics platforms dedicated to textiles and clothing.
With the internalisation of textile production and the outsourcing of certain services, BERRY SERVICES has developed activities linked to the world of fashion. The company assists its customers (mass retail and the luxury sector) in the processing of their ready-to-wear collections by managing hazards related to production and the seasonal nature of the industry.
It has acquired "know-how in terms of packaging and reconditioning goods, and has developed a textile and clothing logistics offer", says Jean-Claude Benéteau. BERRY SERVICES offers "all textile finishing services: quality control, finishing (reconditioning, cleaning, ironing, etc.), stickering, labelling, packaging (folding, document insertion, placing garments on hangers, etc.)".
Given that logistics is of huge strategic importance for the textile and clothing industry, BERRY SERVICES has expanded its activities with "a comprehensive and integrated range of services, including the reception and storage of textiles, order picking, transport and distribution, document management, and e-commerce logistics to consumers..." explains Jean-Claude Benéteau.
All of these high added value services are based on a multi-service platform located in Neuvy-Saint-Sépulchre. BERRY SERVICES employs 45 people, has a turnover of 3 million euros and processes 6 million items a year delivered worldwide, or 1,000 parcels a day.
It has a "textile workshop (sewing machines, steam mannequins, steam tunnel, etc.)", and a warehouse specifically designed (pallet rack, rail conveyor, etc.) for storage". The company’s growth has led it to expand its business site: “From 500 m² in 1998, the company grew to 2,000 m² in 2001, and then to 5,000 m² in 2005, to reach 10,000 m² with the construction of a logistics hall spread over 3 levels currently underway”.
This will reinforce a "logistics tool and a multi-service offer" that has received a number of awards: 2003 Fatex Customer Satisfaction Award, Gazelle de l'économie Prize in 2005 and 2006, 2006 CGPME “Forces PME” Prize, 2007 DCF Trophy, 2007 SITL Logistics Innovation Prize, etc.
