Specialising in the packaging of textile products, Berry Services employs forty-five people on permanent contracts in the Le Fay small business area in Neuvy.
On Saturday 14 March, Berry Services, located at the Le Fay intersection in Neuvy, opened its doors to the public and celebrated its 10th anniversary. Visitors were given access to the various work stations in order to better understand how the company operates and its many activities. Many of these visitors were employees accompanied by their families. Led by its founder, Jean-Claude Benéteau, Berry Services specialises in packaging all kinds of textile products.
From alterations to labelling, the company currently has forty-five permanent employees. “Throughout the year", explains Jean-Claude Benéteau, "we also work with temporary staff, whose numbers increase in August and September to cope with the increased workload linked to the start of the school year”. For the last ten years, Berry Services has been constantly innovating to adapt to the demands of its customers - central purchasing offices and professionals in the ready-to-wear sector. This ability to adapt has already won the company several awards, including the 2007 National Logistics Performance Award.
It is this same ability that today enables the company to face the crisis with relative calm. “We are able to expand our range of skills and services according to demand", says Jean-Claude Benéteau. “We can even take care of the entire product handling process. We offer a turnkey service whereby the customer doesn’t have to do anything”.
From the moment the product arrives in Neuvy, it is processed according to its needs: labelling, attaching of anti-theft devices or size tags, brand label removal, sewing work, etc. The work stations are equipped with all kinds of machinery that enables operators to carry out precise and meticulous work. This is why the company has customers such as P... and K… and why it works for the fashion and haute-couture industry.
Moreover, Berry Services has recently developed its online activity, and now works for several e-commerce sites.
