The employees of Berry Services, based in the Le Fay small business area in Neuvy-Saint-Sépulchre, show their family around the new premises where they work.
On Saturday afternoon, the employees of Berry Services were invited to the inauguration of their new premises, along with their families. One month ago, the company “expanded its surface area threefold,” according to Jean-Claude Benéteau, the director of this Neuvy-based business.
An open day was held for the forty full-time employees, who were given the opportunity to bring their family along. The visit included inauguration drinks with petit fours so that they could “understand and see the work carried out by the employees.” As such, a number of employees, mostly women—the company has only two male workers—gave their partners and children a tour. “Here is where I iron and carry out alterations.”
This event was a first since the company was founded, and therefore something new for all the family members that attended. Ludovic, who came with his mum, went from one workshop to another attentively listening to her explanations. Now he knows how to put tags on garments.
After setting up the company 1999, Jean-Claude Benéteau carried out his business on a surface area of 500 m², which was expanded to 1,500 m² between 2001 and 2002 to reach 4,000 m² in 2004. This expansion has meant better working conditions for the employees in order to better meet the specific reconditions needs of the goods processed at Berry Services. During and after the visit, the employees’ families shared their impressions and said how happy they were to have been invited to the inauguration.
