Fixing drawstrings

A manufacturer of children’s clothing delivered a batch of 3,000 pairs of trousers to a national ready-to-wear retail chain. The retail chain’s quality control department refused to accept the order because the drawstring around the waist of the trousers was not attached, which meant that they did not comply with French legislation.

On the retail chain’s recommendation, the supplier asked Berry Services to bring the order back up to the required standard.

Berry Services collected the goods from the retail chain’s warehouse and secured the cord within its sheath by attaching it at a central point at the back of the trousers’ waistband.

This service, which represented around a hundred hours’ work, was carried out in just two days, so as not to delay sales of the trousers.
