Removing dye stains

On taking delivery at their warehouses of a batch of 2,000 parkas from Asia, a ready-to-wear brand was dismayed to discover that dye from the zips had bled onto the parkas’ fleece lining.

The brand then entrusted these 2,000 parkas to Berry Services who managed to completely remove the dye stains from the linings. To achieve this result, the Berry Services teams first applied a stain remover to each stain, and then washed the parkas.

In order to avoid damaging the articles and to keep them looking new, this operation required a perfect mastery of washing techniques; the procedure also represented many hours’ work: unpacking the items, removing labels, turning them inside out, applying the stain remover, putting them into the washing machines, turning them the right side out, putting them into the dryers, ironing, folding, labelling and repackaging them, i.e. around 10 minutes’ meticulous work per item, which was carried out by Berry Services’ teams.
