Spraying waterproofing

A footwear supplier and importer whose delivery was rejected by a French ready-to-wear retailer called on Berry Services to apply a waterproofing product to a batch of 4,000 pairs of shoes.

After collecting the pairs of shoes from the brand's warehouse, the Berry Services teams started by unpacking each pair of shoes, then carefully sprayed a waterproofing product on each pair of shoes. After letting the shoes air dry on racks for a day, the teams repackaged each pair in the original boxes and packaging.
Once the waterproof tests had been approved by the brand's quality department, Berry Services returned the whole order to the brand's warehouse which quickly proceeded to distribute them in its stores.

Such a service requires many hours of handling: nearly 300 hours of work were needed to process the 4,000 pairs. To ensure the safety of the operators, this type of service must be carried out in a very well ventilated area, or even outside.
