Replacing rings

A Brazilian manufacturer delivered to a French footwear retailer a batch of 2,500 non-compliant pairs of shoes: the loop on the upper strap, made of split leather, was prone to tearing quickly during use.

The brand asked Berry Services to replace the split leather strap with a metal ring.

The service provided by Berry Services involved cutting the loop neatly and inserting the metal ring on the strap of each shoe.

Processing the 2,500 pairs, including unpacking, cutting the loop, fitting the ring and repackaging required around seven minutes of work per pair, for a total of 300 hours.
