Reinforcing seams

A ready-to-wear brand noticed that the seams attaching lace to the bottom edge of a batch of dresses were fragile.

The brand therefore entrusted Berry Services with this batch of 6,000 dresses to bring them back into compliance.

The service provided by Berry Services involved re-sewing a reinforcement zigzag stitch on each side of the two pieces of laces, i.e., four seams along the entire edge of each dress. In order for this operation to be both effective and aesthetically pleasing, the seamstresses had to make sure that the seam was correctly positioned on the edge of the lace without going over the edge on either side.

Processing these 6,000 dresses required almost 700 hours of work by experienced seamstresses. In order to meet the deadline requested by the brand, Berry Services immediately purchased with two new zigzag stitching machines.
