Cutting excess material

An order of 1,600 jackets from an importer of textile goods was rejected by the quality department of a ready-to-wear retailer owing to poor finishing: uncut threads and excess material along the seams.

The manufacturer called on Berry Services to inspect and sort its items.

After collecting the goods from the retailer's warehouse, Berry Services inspected each item to find all the areas of poor finishing and proceeded to alter the poorly finished articles. Loose threads were cut, and excess material carefully trimmed off. As such, the entire order was accepted by the retailer, which was able to offer the items for sale.
